MHK Challenge

A few weeks ago, when Vicky posted about starting a blogger’s mini health kick, I looked down at my ever expanding waistline and decided to put my name down.

Every Monday, for the next month, I’m going to post about my healthy and not so healthy achievements for that week. Generally, I want to stop eating so many unhealthy snacks and get more active, as my fitness levels are appalling. Even if I completely fail for the first few weeks, I think the act of writing down my bad habits, in public, will spur me on to change my ways!

So that’s me. Any ideas to help a greedy, lazy blogger are greatly appreciated.

Specs

I got new glasses

They were £45 frames from Specsavers.  I was surprised by how nice they were for non- designer frames.  I wear mine for VDU use, so my work pays for them but they make blogging much easier.

Blush Love

A super dooper cheap one! Sheerest cream blush by Sally Hansen in Sunset

I found this beaut in Poundland recently and thought I’d give it a go.

A lovely pinky brown which is really good for Autumn. The blush itself blends like a dream but it can definitely easy to over do it. I applied a small dot to the apples of my cheeks and blended it out using my MAC 109.

It gives a lovely flushed “playing in the snow” colour.

Glitterbug

I have a new eyeliner. I’m obviously getting ready for Christmas already

Seriously the best glitter eyeliner I’ve ever had and it was only £1.95!
Once the light hits it, it gets too disco ball to really be seen in the swatch but it’s packed full of glitter that isn’t gritty and doesn’t come off. The wand is not too long(I’m looking at you, C2000) and the brush is stubby enough to do some detailed looks.

I love glitter liners on the lower lashline or over black liner

2True have 10 colours- Gold, Silver, Mint green, Purple, Iridescent, Bronze, Forest Green, Turquoise, Electric Blue and Black.

2True also do a 3 for £5 deal on everything, so it doesn’t cost the earth to pick up more than one. I’ve got my eye on Iridescent, Forest Green and Purple.

Bathroom storage

Today G put together our new bathroom storage and since it’s now housing my make up, I thought I’d give you a little peep.

This is actually a side board from Tesco, but I really liked the shiny finish for my bathroom.

It’s very long(145cm) but quite narrow (40cm)

The cupboards are being used to store my make up and our bath products.

New boots

Primark- £18.

I haven’t actually worn any other shoes since I bought them. They go with everything AND keep my feet dry.

I’m very much embracing the coloured socks and tights, to peep through the crochet panel.

NOTD

After months of waiting, I finally felt it was wintery enough to try Chainmail Charm by Diamond Cosmetics and what a stunner!

It has a dark base (I can’t place the colour, it’s definitely not black, more of a charcoal grey) with an amazing holo in it. SWOON.

I also applied falsies after months of not using them. I just fancied the groomed, ‘perfect’ look.

In dull lighting, it just looks like a grey with silver glitter, but it really comes alive in sun and artificial lighting.
